Montgomery County Police Make Arrest in Wheaton Stabbing
Montgomery County police recently reported that a 20-year-old man who allegedly stabbed another man, age 18, has now been arrested. Courtesy of Gazette.Net, the man arrested has been charged with the following:
- First-degree assault
- Reckless endangerment
- Attempted first-degree murder
The young man charged with assault, reckless endangerment, and attempted first-degree murder allegedly had told a friend earlier that day that he was angry with the victim about something that had occurred between them. Police say the man charged with the crimes told his friends that he wanted to fight.
The first reported contact between the two was a punch to the face. Then the alleged stabbing occurred. The victim was able to save his life only by taking the knife away from his assailant and fleeing.
